My client wants to have a registration form including
credit card number. It is not a merchant account and will
not connect directly with bank. The number will just be
collected and the credit card processing done manually.
What must I do to insure the security of transmitting the
cc number via the form? Thanks

You must have a ssl digital certificate installed, and the means to process
to it.
