Security update

Hi,

I received my Mactopia e-mail today and updated to 11.2.6.

But what about the Security update. It asks if I have ³Microsoft Office v. X
for Mac 10.1.7 Security Update installed on your computer?² It tells me
³To verify that you have installed this update, select the Microsoft
Component Plugin file in the Microsoft Office X/Office folder on your hard
disk, and then on the File menu, click Get Info or Show Info.² I do that
and I get a file that was updated 26 Jul 06. If I go to the Microsoft
Office v. X for Mac 10.1.7 Security Update page, I notice that it is dated
11 Jul 06, before my current update. But I don¹t see anything about any
Security Update. Anyone have any idea how to proceed from here??? I¹m not
really sure what I have. Nothing is mentioned under the ³General² comments
about any Security Update under the Microsoft Component Plugin which was
last modified 26 Jul 06?

Thanks.

That is a reference to office vX (version 10). You are running Office 2004
(version 11).

That particular file should be at version 11.2.6 for you.

Barry,
That particular file should be at version 11.2.6 for you. <<

Thanks. I noticed that, but thought that maybe the ³Security² update was
something separate. It makes more sense now. Apple updates are usually very
logical. This wasn¹t so I figured it had to be me. <g>
