Select Blue Background & loose text-box words. Why?

If I select Blue Background with white Text in preferences (Office/Word
2004 for Mac) on my eMac, two of three text boxes on one of my six page
document goes blank.

The third box remains readable. All three boxes share identical fonts.
Changing fonts produces the same problem.

Turning off the blue background option makes the words appear again!

Any clues why please?

Thank you in anticipation of any kind soul sharing the answer with me!

I think I just learned this recently...

If the font color is set to black, it is always black, and probably just
isn't showing up on the blue background.

If the font color is set to Automatic, it is usually black, unless you set
Blue Background, in which case the Automatic setting becomes white.

So my guess is that one text box has the font color set to black instead of
Automatic. If the text is tagged black, changing the font won't remove the
color formatting, which is separate.

Let us know.
