select record in main form using subform

I have a main form "Magellan" and a subform "Household Members." "Magellan"
form is based on a table, the "Household Members" is a query which finds all
records in Magellan with the same number or text in a control called "family
number".

What I'd like is to be able to perform some action (I don't care what) on the
subform "household members", that will take me to that specific record on the
Magellan table. The subform is shown on the mainform as a table.

Any ideas?
