This message or a similar one shows up when I try to send
receive messages in Outlook or Outlook Express.
Task 'pop.earthlink.net - Receiving' reported error
(0x8004210A) : 'The operation timed out waiting for a
response from the receiving (POP) server. If you continue
to receive this message, contact your server administrator
or Internet service provider (ISP). The server
responded: -ERR syntax error'
I have contacted my ISP and I am told that it is a
Microsoft issue. I have re-installed Office 2003 and
Windows XP. Nothing seems to help. I'm just a little bit
frustrated at this time. Can anyone help me with this?
