Send to Mail Recipient from Word2002 to Outlook2003

We have PCs running Office XP and set up an SBS2003 which installed
Outlook2003 to every PC. Now Outlook2003 doesn't recognize Word2002 and grays
out the "use Word as your default editor" checkbox, which is probably why I
can't get Word to Send To Mail Recipient as well.

Any ideas??

have to have the same version if you want it to work. Upgrade one or
"restore the other".
