You may also want to reduce the wav file size before embedding it.
A mono wav file is about half the size of a stereo one, likewise reducing
the sample rate will drastically reduce the file size. How far you can
lower the sound quality, depends on how important it is to the presentation.
As an example, I reduced a 22MB wav file to 1.3 MB by changing from stereo
44,100Hz 16bit to mono 8000Hz 8bit. Obviously, the sound quality suffers a
bit at that drastic a reduction, but ...
