Sending a Powerpoint show with linked music

I am currently using powerpoint 2003
i would like to send a file with linked music
i put all the music and the slideshow in one folder and then zipped it -
once i zipped it and sent it - it did not work on the reciepenient's
computer, ( and then file definately works when it is not zipped.
