Sending and Receiving error ‘Out of memory or system resources.'

Hi all!

For some reason I keep getting the following error message anytime I
send and receive in Outlook XP edition:
Sending and Receiving reported error (0x8007000E) : ‘Out of memory or
system resources. Close some windows and programs and try again.'

I have a Dell laptop 1.6ghz 256mb RAM with Win XP Pro and no other
applications are runnning in the fore-ground or the back-ground. I
have rebooted, repaired office XP, updated the OS and Office with the
most current service patches, swept for Spyware via Spybot S&D, virus
updated & scanned. what in the heck else can I do but reinstall
everything??? Help!! Thanks in advance!
