Sending newsletters by Outlook

F

Fran

I want to send a newsletter by Outlook, but so that it appears directly in
the email message, not as an attachment that must be opened. I want the
newsletter to be read by people that don't have Publisher, but I want it to
retain its Publisher format.

I don't think that this is possible with Publisher 2002. Is it possible
with 2003? Do I need a specific version of Outlook to do this?

Thanks

Fran

I was going to say "Can't be done, no and no." but I should ask if this is a
multipage newsletter or a single-sided sheet?

Not the answers you want but... If you want the newsletter to look like it
does when you create it in Publisher, then I'd suggest using a .pdf.
Unfortunately that means an attachment - which you've said you don't want.
Rarely do we get everything we want. We have to make compromises - and this
is going to be one of those times.

Thanks for your philosophy, but luckily I did not take the defeatist attitude
and have managed to send a multipage newsletter not as an attachment.

Considering Publisher will only send a single page as an email, I'd love to
know how you did that. Seriously.

Bit fiddly, but necessary as due to the nature of the newsletter I knew
sending it as an attachment would be no good - needed to be instantly
eye-catching.

Basically I separated the pages, made sure none of the text was running from
page to page, and cut and pasted. Not technical I know, but needs must!

You may have misunderstood my question and thought I was looking for a
'quick-click' solution - sorry about that, my first time using this community!

I still don't understand. (I'm having a bit of rough day.) You cut and
pasted what into what?

And we were all virgins at some point. ;-)

Are you including images? Do all your recipients accept HTML messages? If they don't
all your images will be attached. Many people only accept plain text messages. HTML
has the potential of carrying viruses.
