Sending Outlook contacts

I have people send me as attachments outlook contacts. However, when I open
the attachment it is blank. They have sent the same message to two people
and they get it fine but I cannot open as per above. How can I correct.

Have them forward as a vCard or attach the Contact as an Outlook Item in a
RTF message.
