Sending tasks

Is this possible in Entourage?

I used this function often in Outlook, but it seems to be missing from
Entourage. Maybe I am missing something, which wouldn't be the first time.

Thank you.

Maybe you could describe what it is that this does?

You want to send an Entourage task to another person who has Entourage? Just
drag it from the Tasks List into an email, where it will appear as an .ics
attachment. The recipient can drag the attachment from the message into
Entourage and it will appear in his Tasks List, complete with reminder etc
(but not category).

Even better, make a Project and share it with others. Add tasks, events,
contacts, files, and more whatnot that the other users can access in their
own Entourage.

ignored.

PLEASE always state which version of Microsoft Office you are using -
**2004**, X or 2001. It's often impossible to answer your questions
otherwise.

Thank you for your response.

We have people who are on PCs (Outlook) and some on Entourage. It is not
easy for me to create and share a project in Entourage for various reasons
including some of the people are not on our LAN, etc. etc.

I would like to send John Doe a task such as "Please do XYZ" by 31 October
2005 at 6:00 PM. Then, it is tracked somehow. In Outlook, this is quite
straightforward and the recipient can Accept or Refuse the task.

I will experiment with the drag-and-drop method you describe....maybe that
is good enough for us.
