I use Entourage 08 with my Verizon account. I sent two items to a family member this morning and they never got them. All my server settings are running OK and their end isn't showing any problems. Does anyone know where the problem might be?

Could be any number of places. Here are some things to check:

Are they in your Sent Items folder? If not, then they didn't really get
sent.

Do you have web access to your e-mail account? If so, send a message from
there and see if the family member gets it. If not, then either your mail
service provider has a problem or the recipient's does; perhaps theirs
thinks your message is SPAM.

Does the recipient get messages from other users of your email service? If
not, then the recipient's service probably thinks that your service sends
too much SPAM and rejects messages from your services.

Hope this helps.

The messages will appear in the sent items folder. I do have web access and they get them instantly when I send them stuff from there. They do communicate with other Verizon recipients. They also checked their spam folder and there wasn't anything in it from me. They did email me three hours later and said they finally got it. Messages were sent at 8:30 a.m. (EST) and arrived at about 11:00 a.m.

Interesting. When you sent the messages, are you sure you used Send Now as
opposed to Send Later?

At least they finally got them.

Yes, I clicked Send Now because I heard the "Sent" sound played instantly afterwards. This happened a long time ago. The recipient never did get the messages and to this day I have never figured it out.

Sounds like a Verizon server was blocked.
