Sent Folder and Outbox

I have been using OE 2000 for ages now without any problem. I have
thousands upon thousands of mails.

I have always had it set up so that as soon as I send a mail a copy is
kept in the sent items folder and that it disappears from the Outbox.

Suddenly this morning this stopped happening. My mails are still being
sent (or so it seems) but I no copy in my sent items and the mails just
stay in my outbox although in their suspended status so that they are
simply ignored and not sent every time I go to the server.

Any idea what happened?
