Can you setup a second sent folder for an email account.

I have only one sent folder and four addresses share this folder.

I¹m going to be setting up a 5th email account and it should have it¹s own
folder the rest of my configuration should remain the same ideally.

Please let me know.

Thank you.

If it's a POP account, create a new folder somewhere within the "Folders on
My Computer" hierarchy to store sent mail for your new e-mail account. Once
your account is set up in Tools > Accounts, go to Tools > Rules. Click the
"Outgoing" tab, and then click the "New" toolbar button. Create a new
outgoing rule that looks like this:

NAME File Sent Messages
* Execute if any criteria are met
IF Account is <the fifth account>
THEN Move Message <the new folder>
ˆ Enabled

Click OK to save the rule. Now, all mail sent from the new account should
be directed to the new folder you created.

Will it still save messages to the main sent folder as well?

Yes. My response depends somewhat upon your setup and circumstances. In my
situation I am using IMAP account and IMAP folders.

I learned the following:

In the account settings for the account, under the advanced tab, set the
Sent folder you desire to use.

Next, I learned one must also disable the option to save a copy to Sent
folder within preferences. Unless this option is disabled Entourage will
continue to try to save sent items to the local Sent folder; overlooks the
account settings.

The preference option is under Mail and News/ Compose/ General.

Thank you Steve. I¹m using Pop3 for this account so we¹ll see how it works.

Messages will also be saved to the main sent folder if you replace the "Move
Message" action with "Copy Message". The "Move Message" action won't leave
a copy in "Sent Items".
