Sent Items Disappearing from my IMAP

I have an odd issue with Entourage 2004 that has been going on for a
couple of months. I will click "Sent Items" to view what I have sent
over the last week or so, and all of a sudden I will see EVERY message
delete/disappear except the ones from the last 24 hours or so. They are
there, and just go away!

I have nothing that says they should delete after a certain time
period, they just leave without any warning. I am using a laptop and
desktop version of Entourage to check this account, and BOTH of them
have this problem. I have even tried two separate mail servers for this
account, and continue to have the same problem. Can anyone help? I am
desperate, and really need to keep my sent items. Thanks!

What sort of account is it? POP, IMAP or Exchnage?

Is it possible that your ISP has 'housecleaning' measures in place to tidy
up this folder?

Have you any schedules or outgoing mail rules running that may affect
things?

Are the messages appearing in the 'deleted items' folder?

Only other thing to try is to do a search for a particular email that has
disappeared - send a mail to yourself with some uniquely identifiable text
and wait for the sent message to disappear, then do a search in all mail
folders for messages containing that text - see if the messages are being
moved somewhere else.

This issue was my own fault, caused by a rule for my blackberry that
was moving the sent items. So sorry!
