"Sent items" folder/ sending attachments

I have 2 current problems: messages I send are NOT getting in my
"sent" folder.......one message from hours ago is not being sent with
its attachment. I've scoured the help area and preferences, account
settings, etc. and can't find the culprits. Any suggestions
appreciated. Thank you. I've got the 12.0.0 version with Leopard.

Messages automatically go to the Sent folder unless you have a rule set up
moving them. Check your Mailing List Manager rules and your custom rules.
one message from hours ago is not being sent with

Does it stay in the Inbox? What type of attachment? How large? Is it
archived?
