Sent Items folder

I have selected the "save sent items in Sent Item folder" option in
preferences, but none of my sent e-mails are saved there. How can I solve
that problem?

Is this the local Sent Items folder or an IMAP one you want? Are you using a
POP account or IMAP? And where exactly are your sent messages getting saved
at the moment?
