Sent messages time

I have my e-mails sorted by when they were sent. And the sent sorting order
works fine. But the time given in the upper right hand corner of each e-mail
in my inbox is when I downloaded them from the server and not the time they
were sent. Why? Can it be changed?

No. It's a rather dumb setting - for IMAP and Exchange and probably Hotmail
only - in Preview-Pane-At-Right view. For IMAP etc. accounts you'll see the
Sent time only in Sent Mail folders, not in other folders with received
mail. In local folders "On My Computer" it does it "correctly" when you have
sorted Arranged by Sent.

The only way to see the Sent time for received IMAP message folders is to
switch to View/Preview Pane Below, and View/Columns/Sent.

It's been reported as a bug (or bad feature) to Microsoft.
