Separate Back-To-Back Appointments in Entourage

Is there any way in which appointments made in Entourage can be more
clearly separated?

Is there a jpg file for a separator line that we can replace and make
thicker?

It is difficult for someone with a lot of back to back appointments to
know when one appointment ends and another starts - the little side
icon is too small - does anyone know of ways in which we can make this
more obvious?

Unfortunately, you can't change the appearance of messages as they abut
each other. You can assign your appointments different categories with
different colors to help you distinguish between messages. Right-click
or Control-click an appointment and select a different category.

Entourage 2008's interface may improve the ability to distinguish
events. You'll find screenshots of Entourage 2008 (some legit, some not
quite legit) if you search Google. They may give you an idea.
