Sequence of opening email messages

H

HAL KUSHNER

When I open an email, read it, and close it.... then the default preference
is that the next email to open in sequence is the one above the one just
read. How can I change it so that the next one to open is the next one
below? Running MS Office 2004 on an Imac G-4, Panther OSX 3.7. Thanks/Hal

I believe you'll find that flips if you reverse the sort order of the
messages by clicking the column header. I prefer using the keyboard
shortcuts, Cmd-[ or Cmd-], and the Ctrl variants, which read the
previous or next message (or unread message, using Ctrl). Add in the
Option key, e.g., ctrl-opt-], and it will DELETE the current message
before selecting the next message (unread in this case, or simply the
next message if you use cmd rather than ctrl).
