SERIOUS PROBLEM with Entourage and Exchange

M

Okay,

I've really had enough with this Entourage/Exchange interface dumping
messages into the local inbox!

I followed others' advice about deleting the database file and prefs. It did
not work. It made matters worse!

I let Entourage re-synchronize with the server over the weekend ‹ and the
piece of **** took all my messages off the server and put them in my local
inbox ‹ everything that I had stored in other folders for back up has been
lumped into the inbox.

I now have some 2,000 e-mails sitting on my HD that I have to one-by-one put
back into folders on the server!

WOULD SOMEONE FROM MICROSOFT PLEASE ACKNOWLEDGE THIS PROBLEM AND GET A
SOLUTION TO IT, NOW?!?!?!?!? THIS IS WAY OUT OF HAND!!!!!!!

Hi,

Please check whether you have set any rules to move messages, if so remove
that rule & try following trouble shooting steps.

-Create one folder under your Exchange account in Entourage.
-Go back to the Inbox folder under "Folders on My computer"
-Select all the mails and press <control+click> and select the option Move
to and select Move to Folder under the sub menu which appears towards left
of the same menu.
-Select the folder which you have created under Exchange account in
Entourage & click on Move button
-All your mails from the Inbox should get moved to the folder which you have
created.

Note: After moving it will take some time to synchronize to the Exchange
server depending upon you mails size and your network bandwidth.

After you have confirm that all your mails appeared on Exchange account, try
creating a fresh rules to move the mails to the desired folders.

If you are not comfortable in creating rules in Entourage then I would
suggest you to configure your exchange account in Outlook on windows and
there you can set Rules to move mails to the appropriate folder under
Exchange account.

Hope this resolves your issue.

Thanks for the attempt, but I've tried all that and to now avail (except
rules in PC Exchange).

I've moved messages from my local inbox back to the server. I set up a rule
to move any unread messages out of my Exchange Deleted folder back into the
Exchange Inbox, but it only works if I go into the Deleted folder and
manually apply rule.
