Server Downloaded All Old Messages

This morning Entourage downloaded all messages left on my server
(nearly 2000). I do not want to go thru and manually delete. Is there
any way to group Unread messages so I can delete them all in one fell
swoop .....and why did this happen? I did not change anything.

In Entourage's main window message list, at the top are a bunch of
column headers, like "Subject", "From", etc. To the left of the
"Subject", "From", etc column headers are some column headers with
icons (a paper clip for attachments, an exclamation point for high
priority, etc.). One of these is an icon that looks like a little blue
star, which is the "Message Status" column header. Hover your mouse
over each icon to see a description of it. If you click the "Message
Status" column header, all unread messages are grouped together in the
list.

Maybe the email server to which you connect changed something.

Under View in the menu bar select Unread only.

If you have duplicate after this you can run one of the remove duplicates
scripts.
