Server Storage Limits

We are experimenting with setting server storage hard limits that will
block users from sending mail when their mailboxes reach a certain
size. I had a test message sent to my account that was intended to put
me over the limit and restrict me from sending emails. I deleted the
offending email and 30 minutes later I still could not send messages
out. When I right-click my mailbox and check the storage tab under
folder properties it still reports that I have an overzsized mailbox.
Alternately, if I use the "Server Usage X 1.1" Script it reports a
different size-- the reduced size I would have expected after deleting
the message with the large attachment? It seems like eventually
everything syncs up, but a 30 plus minute delay is not going to be
acceptable. Can someone explain what might be going on here and if
there is a fix?

Using MacBookPro with Entourage 2004 11.2.5 OS 10.4.7.

Thanks

I solved this problem and I thought I'd share in case it helps anyone
in the future...

The test message had a 95 MB file attachment meant to put my account
way over the limit for testing purposes. Unfortunately after waiting 12
hours Entourage was unable to retreive the message. I found the message
by logging into OWA. From there I deleted the message and got things
working again. After doing some additonal testing we have discovered
that Entouage seems to choke on messages with attachments of about 90MB
or more. When this happens Entourage slows to a crawl, the message does
not appear, Server Usage X 1.1 Script will not accurately report the
total server usage, folder properties will report an accurate message
total.
