Set up entourage

Hi
I am new to iMac and have just set up Entourage 2004. My problem is that I
cannot see any of my emails. I can send emails OK and my settings have been
verified that it is going to the server and getting my emails but it just
gives me two loud sounds when it is finished getting the emails. Can anyone
suggest what is wrong or if I have not done something that I was supposed to
do.

Well you don't provide us with many details.... IMAP, POP, Exchange,
Hotmail???

If you can send, I would say that the SMTP os set up correctly byt the
incoming mail (probably POP or IMAP) is not...
