Setting & Completing Appointments

I am an ACT user converting to Outlook with Business Contact Manager
How is an Appointment marked Completed

My experience with ACT allows a process for marking the Appointment as completed, make notes regarding the Appointment held and then to make a followup Appointment and, by clicking a box, include the current details with the followup appointment

Thanks, for any help in how the workflow should work with handling Contacts and Appointments. This must be really obvious, but it has escaped my search for about a half a day
