setting linked objects area

i have inserted an excel file into powerpoint and checked
the 'link' box

my problem is that it is not displaying all of the
information on the excel sheet, it is cutting off
information on the right hand side

using the handles in powerpoint only allows me to stretch
to object not set the area that is viewed

i have tried changing the view etc in excel but with no
joy

any help would be much appreciated
