Setting up Entourage 2004

When setting up Entourage 2004, some say to use the real Exchange server
address (e.g. exchange.company.com), some say to use the OWA server (e.g.,
owa.company.com, assuming they are installed on two different servers) and
enable SSL.

What¹s the difference? Which gives more benefits?

Sometimes, the real OWA server doesn't have OWA enabled - it might also
not be accessible from outside the locl network.. That's the only thing
I can think of.

We use the server's name, as it appears in our Active Directory. As we
have MS Proxy running, we found we had to bypass the domain (in the Mac
OS X's System Preferences: Network: Proxies), because Entourage calls
to the server were killing everything!
