setup: cannot find cab file

Erik

I try to install frontpage 2003. every time i get the
message that setup can't find a .cab file. I copied all
files from cd to harddisk, but still the same message.
I can't skip the file.
Does someone know a solution?

Windows XP home on a toshiba m30 laptop.

What CAB file?

I responded to a duplicate post by suggesteing that you install try
installing (or re-installing) SP1 for
Windows XP and see if that allows you to install FP or Office 2003.

Give that a shot.

Hi, Erik,

Help me troubleshoot here:

- Are you able to open the CAB file in Windows Explorer?

- Are you able to copy the CD contents to the hard drive without errors
during the file copy?

Also, could you send directly to my e-mail address the log file from the
installation failure? You can get my address by replacing the -dot- in my
reply address with a period.

See this article for how to find the logfiles:

Problems:

Thanks--
