several problems/questions with Entourage

I have the Entourage that came with Office 2001. Recently, when I open
it, several old and already-sent emails appear as if they want to be
sent for the first time. Each time I delete them. But then the next
time I open Entourage, there they are again, so I delete them all over
again. How do I get rid of them permanently?

Another question -- When I send a new email and click on the Inbox and
then New, and start to put in a name, say one that starts with "A",
then all the "A" addresses show up. But I know they're supposed to.
However, many that show up here are very old addresses and names and
ones I don't want to appear any longer. They're NOT in my address
book. They appear, I suppose, just because they're addresses I've used
before.

But I want to eliminate some of them and have no idea how to do that.

Can anyone tell me how? I have lots more questions, but will start
with these.

Daer Louise,

That will happen if you delete and do not rebuild your Entourage data base
afterwards. So I recommend you to do the following :

1. Delete all entries (emails and addresses) that you do not want anymore

2. Rebuild your Entourage data base after wards. Therefore quit Entourage
and afterwards start it once mor with the "alt"-key pressed.

3. When you are asked for "standard" rebuild than click onto standard

Afterwards your Ghost-entries shall have dissapeared
