Shared Calendar and categories

Hello,

Is there a way to synchronize categories on a shared calendar?

Like we have a sales shared calendar, can a user modify the shared calendar
and mark them with different categories and will it reflect on other user's
entourage when they open the shared calendar?

Not really. Entourage won;t sync categories to Exchange at all.

For Mac users, you could use AppleScripts to write the category to the
Notes, and another one to restore them from the notes on another Mac not
in Windows), but that's not automatic at all and would prove fairly
tedious,

OK, thanks for the quick reply.
So there is no automatic way to sync categories on shared calendar?
Is this because of permission issues? Can the owner of the calendar make
changes and will it reflect? (set categories from the calendar owner's
machine)

It's not a permission issue. Entourage simply doesn't have support for
syncing categories to Exchange (or anything else).
