Shared Project Update Notification

How do I turn off the little box that pops up on my desktop when it is
synchronizing?

Guess I should add a few things.

I am using Entourage 2004 and the notification I am talking about is the
shared project synchronization.

Thanks.

Okay, I turned off Office Notifications from the Entourage Menu. And this
did not work.

I don't know what notification you are talking about. There is one in
Entourage Prefs:Notifications. Is that it? If not, please attach a
screenshot of what you are seeing. Cmd-Shift-3

The box that pops up says "Progress" at the top and in the details it shows
what Project it is synchronizing with.

I am sharing projects so I can transfer them between computers using iDisk.

That sounds like the progress window. Just close it. It shouldn't come back
up after you explicitly close it.

I closed it and now it doesn't synchronize. I get a message asking if I want
to connect to the where I have the files

Now it sounds like you don't have the file server containing your shared
project files mounted when you launch Entourage. Either make sure the server
is mounted before launch, or mount it when Entourage asks you on launch.

I always have the file server mounted when I am on the computer. It looks
like there is no way to quit the annoying pop up Progress window and keep
Entourage synchronizing the files. Which seems kind of odd. You should be
able to turn that kind of thing off and let it sync in the background
without telling you what it is doing.

I will be working in another application and that progress window keeps
popping up every 5 or 10 minutes.
