In a Mac Mojo blog post in September, CraigE stated:

Later today, you’ll see a post telling you all about what's new with OOF in Entourage 2008. And in the coming weeks and months, we'll share details on things like:

* Changes in the Entourage calendar
    * Office 2008 installation and deployment options
    * Entourage database improvements
    * How Mac users can work with SharePoint
    * Some of our security features in Office for Mac

-----------

I have yet to see any information regarding how Entourage works with SharePoint or more specifically the synchonization of SharePoint Calendars. Does anyone have any info on this?

Thanks in advance,

bob

Hi Bob!

You're reading too much into Craig's statement. He said "How *Mac* users
can work with SharePoint" not "How *Office:mac* users can work with
SharePoint".

Nothing in Office 2008 for Mac integrates with SharePoint. SharePoint
use for Mac users is still manual.

Please be sure to let Microsoft know you'd like to see this type of
integration in future versions of Office by using the Help --> Send
Feedback mechanism in any Office application.

Hope this helps!

I don't see it on any feature list, or faq. And it comes up in no search results in the mac site.

I don't have EO8 yet but am using Share Point through a web browser within my company. There is an IM function that works with the PC users but not for the mac users. Anyone know how I can add that functionality?

I was really expecting MS to do something about WSS integration in Office mac 2k8...
from what i can read through the posts and see from the clips on this web-site, i realise that this is actually a downgrade to the office suite for mac, rather then an upgrade, and see no reason of upgrading our licenses...
1. no VBA support --- major drawback
2. no SharePoint Integration --- i think everyone was expecting to see this
3. the improvements that were made to the office suite were more from a layout design aspect rather then a business and functionality aspect, those elements are already available in other applications already available to the mac users for some time.
