Sharepoint-like Services for XP?

S

Stephen Diggs

I am going to attend a small meeting soon in which I'd to have a workgroup-sized version of Sharepoint Services running on my Tablet PC (XT). I want to be able to share documents between the team, and use something simple like Sharepoint's web presentation. Yeah, I know I can create a folder sharepoint, but I want to try something a bit more web-like. I have Office 2003 loaded, and have added IIS 5.1.

I remember the old Office Server Extensions acted much like Sharepoint, and could be loaded on a workstation. Is there a modernized version for use on XP and 2003? Hopefully uses a web interface for best cross-platform compatibility?

Thanks
Stephen Digg

Is there a reason not to just install SharePoint? SharePoint Team Services
shipped with FrontPageXP, and Windows Sharepoint Services ships with Windows
2003...
