At some point after making some changes to our web site
(after upgrading to Office 2003) when attempting to open
my local site version I got the followinfg error message:
"An error ocurred accesing your Windows SharePoint
services site files" - then it gives instructions to
Authors and Webmaster referring to the event log. The
event log reads:
"The description for Event ID ( 1000 ) in Source (
Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 Error Reporting ) cannot
be found. The local computer may not have the necessary
registry information or message DLL files to display
messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use
the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see
Help and Support for details. The following information
is part of the event: frontpg.exe, 11.0.5516.0, 3f1f5d5f,
fpsrvutl.dll, 11.0.5523.0, 3f21cf58, 0, 0000cba1."
I open my Web backup file and all is well until I try to
troubleshoot an existing problem with the remote site.
I don't subscribe to SharePoint Services. Why is
referring to it?
How can I correct this?
Thanks
Eduardo
