Sharing an HTML map

I have created a particular map in project to use when I save my project's
status to a website for other to view. I would like an easy way to share
this map with another person on my team that will want to save and regenerate
the HTML file when he makes updates to our status.

Is there an easy way to share this map with another person? I didn't see
how I could save it as a file. Does it get stored with the .mpp itself? I'm
really new to MS Project and it doesn't seem obvious how one can do this.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Matt,

Export maps are sort of the exception to the rule that custom items are
stored in the project file. When you created the map it was actually stored
in the Global Template file (Global.MPT) on your computer. Never fear
though, you can still give that map to the other user.

Go to Tools>Organizer. Click the Maps tab. In the list on the left (Maps
available in Global.MPT) select the custom map you created and click the
Copy>> button to copy the map to a project file.

Have the other user open the project file and reverse the process. They
will copy the map from the project file back to their Global.MPT.

Unfortunately, any changes you later make to the map will not be reflected
in the copy your co-worker has.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Julie
