Sharing Contacts?

We have just switched to a mac and are using Entourage.

Is there a way for the various users in the family to share the same
contacts even as we have different emails?

Thanks

You'd have to use just ONE Entourage identity, not separate identities, in
ONE OS X user, not separate users. You set up the various email addresses as
separate POP accounts in Tools/Accounts. You could set up separate folders,
one for each account (family member), and set up mail Rules (Tools/Rules) to
move messages to the appropriate folder depending on account. Actually, I'd
recommend making a set of subfolders within each "account"-folder: a
separate Inbox, Sent Items, and other subfolders, and use the rules to move
messages to the sub-Inboxes, and Outgoing rules to move sent messages to the
separate sub-Sent Items subfolders. When _sending_ messages, each family
member has to remember to set the account of the message in the From line.

Alternately, if you prefer to have separate OS X users, you're stuck with
separate identities then. You could regularly export ad import contacts from
one to another. But using File/Export/Contacts would export _all_ the
contacts every time, leading to multiple duplicates. You could use
File/Export and File/Import in all the other identities just once. Then
every time you make a new contact, drag it to the desktop - or, if you're
using separate OS X users - to the Shared user folder - to make a .vcf file.
Then the other users/identities can just drag the .vcf file in.

In addition, if you're using Entourage 2004 with all users, the new Project
Center feature might come in handy for this purpose. You would need to
create a new project (File > New > Project). I'd turn off the options to
automatically import items and associate items, as well as the Due Date.
Then, when you're done, open the Address Book, select a contact, go to Edit
Select All, and then go to Edit > Projects > <your new project>. Then, go
to File > Share a Project, and save the project to a public location like
/Users/<Your User>/Public/. Then, the other users with their own OS X
identities can open Entourage, go to File > Subscribe to a Project, and
select the project the first user saved. Users then only need to remember
to assign new contacts to the project.
