Sharing Mail Folder on Two computers

Office Entourage X - OSX 10.3.6

My Mail is set up with several POP3 accounts. The master file resides on my
iMac in ~\library\Mail. I want to access the same folder from my PowerBook
so that I can work from either machine without swapping files. After
research, I created an alias on the PB pointing to the primary Mail folder
on the iMac. Does not work. After more research on Mactopia, I learned the
alias schema works fine in Entourage 2001 but not in Entourage X.

Does it work in Entourage 2004? That is the only reason I would upgrade to
2004 and I want to verify that it works before I give Mr. Gates another $239
of my hard earned cash...

Use of Aliases changed from OS 9 to OS X.

Supposedly the bug where an identity can't be on a networked volume was
fixed in SP-1 for Entourage 2004.

Have you considered using an IMAP account?
