Sharing Outlook calendar?

My secretary and I have shared my calendar in Outlook 98
and 2000 using Microsoft Mail under Win 98 with no
problem. Then I upgraded to Win XP and Microsoft Mail
will not work and we were not able to share. I purchased
a program called ShareOutlook but find it very cumbersome
and slow and prone to post the same appointments several
times, etc. Is there a better way to share my Outlook
Calendar with my secretary? I cannot believer Microsoft
did not build this capability into the software. I do
not need and cannot afford to purchase Exchange Server.
Any suggestions?

If you need full sharing capabilities in Outlook, you need
Exchange. Maybe you had it configured differently in the
past.

Exactly what do I need? Exchange Server? What is the
smallest and least expensive option? This is just for 3
PCs.

Had exactly the same problem.
My solution (for what it's worth) set up a Yahoo account,
enter their Calendar function. Download Intellisync. It
will sync your PC Outlook Cal, with the Web Site Cal (and
Contact list etc if you choose). Share this with your Sec
and or Laptop etc. Use Task Scheduler to pop up
Intellisync every hour or so, takes a few secs to shunt
the stuff about but it works - and at NO COST.
It also has the advantage of remote access, so you can
look stuff up on someone elses machine if out of the
office.
