Sharing Tasks with Outlook users on an Exchange Server

Hi all,

I'm an IT tech who has been given the task to support a Mac user on
our Exchange system- something new for me. In Outlook, our managers
are currently set up to view subordinates' tasks- i.e. we can go into
Tasks, File -> Open Other User's Folder and get a view of their
tasks. For some reason we're not able to on the Entourage user. I
was wondering if anyone had suggestions as to settings that I could
check or even if what I'm proposing is possible.

Hi Mike!

Entourage 2004 does not support Tasks on Exchange servers.

But when I compare its current feature set in 11.3.3 to its initial
release of 11.0.0 and see how many Exchange features have been added I
get high hopes for this feature in the next version of Office. That's
not a promise that I can make, just an optimistic speculation.

If your user needs occasional access to Outlook and its Exchange/Tasks
features you might have him use Remote Desktop Connection for Mac
<http://www.microsoft.com/mac/otherproducts/otherproducts.aspx?pid=remote
desktopclient> to access an available Windows XP Professional computer
or Terminal Services Server.
