I would like to add PowerPoint to my previously purchased MS Office 2003
Basic without having to pay an exorbitant price. For example, one can
purchase MS Office Business edition for $100 more than Basic on Dell's
website when configuring a new PC. But in the case were one's needs change
after having the product for a short period, the price to buy PowerPoint or
Publisher standalone versions is over $229 list. I believe that policies
like these create unnecessary ill-will towards Microsoft. It makes people
feel as if they are throwing money on software away. Give them some leeway.
There should be something similar to the Office Upgrade, possibly "Office
Enhanced Version" which would allow adding the PowerPoint, Publisher & Access
modules at a REASONABLE price.
