Show or hide the list of recently used documents on the File menu

I dont have TweakUI installed but still lost this option - so I installed
TweakUI for XP but it did not correct the problem. Any ideas where in the
registry to look or how to uninstall Office completely to start again with a
clean machine?

Obviously, you did you not read the KB article I cited. As
stated in the article, the registry key is
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\NoRecentDocsHistory.
