Sig appears in wrong part of message

Hi,
The following often happens to me: I type a message and then, with my cursor
at the end of my text, insert my sig. But the sig appears in the middle of
the content instead of at the end.

Is there a trick for preventing this?
I've not systematically checked to see if this happens only with replies and
forwards and not with new messages.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. I don't really understand why it seems to
happen randomly.
