+ sign in subject line

Entourage version 11.4.2. Anytime I put a plus + sign in the subject line in
an email, the message is not visible.

Hi Randy!

I haven't seen this but I don't recall every putting a plus sign in a
message subject.

If the message "body" not visible or is the message in the message list
not visible?

Can you please provide exact steps to reproduce this?
