Signature Position on Replies

My default signature appears on replies at the end of the email thread
rather than at the end of my current reply text. How can I get the
default to appear after my reply?

If you have Entourage 2004, go to Entourage > Preferences, and then, under
"Mail & News Preferences", select "Reply & Forward". Under "Mail
Attribution", select the option to "Place reply at top of message and
include From, To, Date, and Subject lines from original message". Click OK.

If you have Entourage X or 2001, go to Entourage > Mail & News Preferences
(or Edit > Preferences > Mail & News), and then click the "Reply & Forward"
tab. Under "Mail Attribution", select the option to "Prefix my reply with
short header-style attribution lines", and click OK.

Does that apply only to News or does it apply to Mail as well?

The initial question was about e-mail. The instructions I posted won't have
an effect on news.

For news, you need to use Paul Berkowitz's "Reply Insertion Reversed" script
to use that kind of attribution:

If you're using Entourage 2001, use "Reply Insertion Above":
