signing on through an exchange server for mail

Hi All,

Don't know if this is possible, have searched and no answer so far.... I
have a friend who is using outlook and wants to know if he can get his mail
off of the company's exchange server with MC Outlook, or must he go on the
exchange server, log in,,,, etc and handle his mail that way??

Hope I have asked the question correctly...

This depends on how his company has setup Exchange
and what version. Usually the answer is no unless you
get a VPN account that allows you to access the network
from home. This would require signing in.

I use OWA (Outlook Web Access). Perhaps his company
has OWA and your friend is not aware of how to use it. I
go to a website using my internet browser and sign into my
email at work.

Your friend needs to ask this question to his Exchange
administrator. They will be able to answer it.
