Since Snow Leopard 10.6.2 and/or the 12.2.3 Entourage hangs/stallsfor no apparent reason

The subject says it all.

Fans start to spin (Entourage eats a lot of processing power) and I have to
force quit it.

Any ideas?

Try launching the application pressing the Option key down to rebuild
the database,
