My Entourage database size is now almost 13gb. I've had a few instances of a corrupted database and had to spend a long time waiting for the system to repair the corrupted database. Is there a way for me to reduce the size of this database or archive my old emails to reduce the size of this database?

Hold down the Alt key when launching Entourage, and the Database Utility
should launch instead. Use it to either compact or rebuild your database.
Note: a rebuild is more drastic and is generally only recommended if you are
experiencing problems with your current database. Also, keep in mind that
you are going to need hard disk space of at least twice the size of your
database for this procedure (so >26GB), and that the procedure can take
hours to complete, so it might be a good idea to leave it running overnight
when you are not using your Mac.

Thank you for your response. I will try as suggested. I've also seen some other responses in the forum with regards to reducing the size of the database by creating another identity like archive and then reducing the number of emails from way back to get the present database down to a manageable level. I will try that as well. Again, thank you.

See these options to archive your data:

If you need to access your old mail, I would create a second Identity. You
can easily switch Identities to view. Directions are on the link above.

I have all my Sent Mail saved as individual messages so Spotlight can search
them. This is a time consuming process as you can only drag 199 messages at
a time to the desktop. However, once it's done, keeping up with this in the
future is a lot easier.
