Slides are too big to view?

L

Louise

Two colleagues of mine are doing a PowerPoint presentation tomorrow and have
put exactly the same presentation on both of their laptops. However, they
have 'played' them today and on one laptop, it views fine, on the other you
cannot actually see the whole of the slide??

I've never come across this problem before as I don't use PowerPoint very
often.

Does anybody have any ideas as to why this is happening??

Any urgent help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Louise

I don't know the answer, but since no one else has chimed in, I'll venture a
guess. It might have something to do with the multiple monitor settings on
misbehaving laptop. Perhaps, it is set to have the presentation span across
more than one monitor, which would only show part of the presentation if
there isn't a second monitor. More information about multiple monitors can be
found at "A Multiple Monitor Tutorial" from the PPT FAQ:

Sorry man.....should I be an MVP to answer here?
I'll back off and let you field her answer to my question above your reply.
You may want to follow up by getting system and GPU/driver info.

TD,

No, no, no. You don't have to be an MVP to answer here. When I said that
no one had responded, it was because the Web interface was VERY SLOW last
night in posting messages. I was giving a 2 1/2 hour final exam last
night, and I was bored out of my mind (a computer lab full of silent
teachers is a scary thing). During the entire 2 1/2 hours, there wasn't a
single new posting via the Web interface. I saw the question and didn't
see any responses, so I thought I would take a stab at it (even though it
is not my area of expertise, asssuming I even have an area of expertise).
I was hoping that someone (MVP or not) who knew what he/she was talking
about would chime in and give a knowledgeable answer. Please chime in;
you probably know more about this than I do.

It's cool Kathy......I was just poking in jest.
I just hope Louise gets back to us so we can help her.
No offense intended David. I don't like the construction of this forum.
Take a look at Dell's user forum. It would be nice to get MS to use that
setup.
I find navigation here to be relatively cumbersome. See you in San Diego??
