I'm connecting to a Groupwise (7.01) server via IMAP with Entourage 11.2.3
under Mac OS X 10.4.7 on a Powerbook.
With regular intervals I get a message in the status bar (together with a
progress bar) indicating it is "Searching Folder on Server". It appears to
go through a random number of my folders on the server (usually between 1
and 6 folders, which is much less than the total number of folders I have on
the server). The whole process takes many minutes, and has been going on
since about March (when the Groupwise server was still at version 6.5). I've
disabled Spotlight searching in Entourage's preferences - but I have no idea
of another setting which I could change that might prevent this type of
behaviour.
Can any one shed light on this matter... Is this an Entourage (IMAP) trick
or is this perhaps the GW server.
